What are custom profile pages and custom home pages?
Custom pages give you the ability to personalize both a home page, and your profile page. You do this by adding tabs to either your home or profile page, and then adding 'widgets'.
• Custom home pages can only be viewed by you.
• Custom profile pages can be viewed by anyone, but can only be modified by you.
What the heck is a widget?
Basically they are little single-purpose thingys. Like show your friends online, Time news headlines, or a game.

| Widgets can be added to a page.

| Widgets can be moved anywhere on the page in relation to other widgets.

| Widgets can be removed by the person who owns the page.

| Most widgets are customizable.

What kind of things can widgets do?

| You can add the My Friends widget and then change the preferences to show only those friends who are currently online.
|
| •
| Use the HTML widget for online quiz results (like the Superhero Quiz), and the Where I've Been map.
|
| •
| Add the YouTube widget and add either the URL or Embed and maybe your own caption for a video on your custom page. Drag it to exactly where you want it.

| Add a game to your home custom page. Search the 'Fun & Games' category. There's Sudoku, Bejeweled, Poker, and many others.

| Search Google from Connexion. Add the Google widget, and make TrevorSpace your default home page, and always have Google at your fingertips when on TrevorSpace.

| Bookmarks! Add the My Bookmarks widget, then change the preference to display 'Online Only'. You probably forgot who you've bookmarked.

| The Most Viewed Members widget is VERY distracting. If you just want to stare at hotties scrolling by, this is the one!

How do I add and find widgets???????
When you are on any custom page, click "Add more to this page". Then use the criteria at the top to find what you want.
*If you dont think you're getting the results you want, click the Reset button.

| Include RSS Feeds: If checked, will show you widgets with RSS Feeds.

How do I make TrevorSpace open as the first page that loads, or default home page, when I open IE or Firefox or Safari?

| Log onto TrevorSpace then click Home.

| Follow the instructions below for your browser:

| IE - Tools > Internet Options > 'General' tab > put 'www.connexion.org' in the 'Address' box > Click OK

| Firefox - Tools > Options > 'Main' tab > put 'www.connexion.org' in the 'Home Page' box > Click OK
|

| Safari - Edit > Preferences > 'General' tab > put 'www.connexion.org' in the 'Home Page' box > close

What will my friends see when they view my profile see?
Basically, they will see what you see when youre putting it all together.
| Your friends will see:

| all the tabs you've created. If you have a blank one, you should delete that tab. (see below)
|
| •
| every widget expanded or un-shrunk.
|
| •
| the New Tab option, allowing them to copy your page to their profile. It will use their friends.
*Only if they are certified.

| the close icon

| the shrink/minimize icon

What can I do with the tabs at the top of the page?
| •
| Tabs: Located at the top of the page which you can add widgets to.
|
| •
| Tab Menu: Click the to the right of the current tab. Allows you to Lock the tab, Rename the Tab, and Delete the Tab.

| Lock: Will prevent you from accidentally moving, or editing any of the widgets on the page. You will know when a tab is locked because  will appear on the tab.
|

| Unlock: Only appears if the page is locked, you can unlock it by going to the menu where you had locked it.
|

| Rename Tab: One of two ways to rename a tab. The tab name will change into an editable box.
|

| Delete Tab: Will delete the tab and all the widgets on that tab. Be sure you want to do this before you click it.

| Rename Tab: You can also rename the tab that is displayed by clicking on the tab name of the tab you're on, change it, then click anywhere else on the page.

How do I delete a custom page.?

| Go to the tab you want to delete (either on Home or your profile).
|
| •
| Click the to the right of the current tab.
|
| •
| Select 'Delete Tab', then confirm.
|
How do I add more tabs?
You will see 'New Tab' to the right of the tabs. Click the to get a list of tab templates you can add. Some templates you can pick from are:

| Blank Tab: A two-column page that is just that...blank.
|
| •
| RSS: A single-column page where you input an RSS link, and it will show it in its entirety...well, it will show the number of entries you select also.

| Home Template: A great template to start with. Introduces you to a number of cool widgets that are available.

How do I reorder my tabs?
| •
| Go to any custom page, other than the TrevorSpace default home page or profile page.
|
| •
| Open the menu on the tab by clicking the on the tab, and select 'Reorder Tabs'
|
| •
| Reorder the tabs by changing the tab number in the box...the order will refresh as you change the number.
|

| NOTE: The original order is at the top for reference, or if you want to put them back in that order.

What does  do?
| •
| You use this to resize the columns on your custom page. See "How do I resize the columns?" below.

How do I resize the columns?
| •
| Go to any custom page, other than the TrevorSpace default home page or profile page.

| Click on the above and between the columns, and drag it to the desired location.

| Changing the layout from 2 columns to 1 column.

| Drag the all the way to the right where it will say "100% Single Column"

| Click on the above and to the right of the single column.

| Drag the to the left and drop it where you would want the space between the 2 columns to be.

I just saw someone who has a really cool custom page. How can I copy it?
You will see 'New Tab' to the right of the tabs. Click the and you will see 'Add this page to your profile'. Click it, and it will take your profile, and to the page it just created.
What do all the icons do?
| Refresh: Refreshes the stuff in the widget.

| Customize: Displays options to further customize the widget or the page.
|
|
| Shrink: Shrinks, collapses, minimizes the widget.
|
| Un-shrink: Un-shrinks, grows, maximizes the widget.
|
|
| Close: Removes the widget from the page.
|
How do I move widgets around?
You can move the widgets around by clicking on the empty space on the widget's Title Bar.
*You might want to shrink long widgets before moving, and then un-shrink when moved.
How do I add widgets to my page?
Click the "Add more to this page" link on the right side of the page. It will take you to the Add Widget to Homepage page.
